About Fraser

about Fraser

Dr. Fraser Cobham (TCM) is a fully qualified practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine, registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency (AHPRA). Fraser’s passion for Chinese medicine began as a result of his own health ailments that manifested in early adulthood. Often feeling discouraged that his symptoms were not being adequately addressed by conventional treatments, Fraser sought to understand the underlying causes. It was this drive which attracted him to Chinese medicine with its rich history and philosophy. A desire to self-heal quickly evolved into a passion for assisting others in achieving a greater sense of health and wellbeing.

After graduating with a Bachelor degree in TCM, Fraser set out to deepen his knowledge and understanding of Classical Chinese Medicine (CCM). His dedication to honouring classical theories led him directly into the path and training of Arnaud Versluys, PhD, MD, LAc, director of the Institute of Classics in East Asian Medicine (ICEAM) and lineage holder of the Tian-Zeng Lineage of Classical Chinese herbal hormulas. This intricate system of herbal medicine emphasises pulse diagnosis, which is essential to prescribing the correct Chinese herbal formula to address the underlying cause and disharmony in the body.

Furthering his skills in acupuncture, Fraser trained under Dr. Wei-Chieh Young (Master Tung acupuncture) and is a current student of Dr. Sonia Tan L.Ac, DAOM, a direct disciple of the renowned acupuncturist and physician Dr. Richard Teh-Fu Tan. Dr. Richard Tan developed a highly sophisticated acupuncture system known as Balance Method Acupuncture, which uses multiple channels and acupuncture points to restore harmony and balance throughout the body.

Treating over 50 patients a week, Fraser’s clinical practice has organically evolved to working with female-specific health concerns. He has a special interest in treating hormonal imbalances, infertility and IVF support, menstrual irregularities, chronic digestive symptoms, insomnia, anxiety, and stress. Fraser now runs two successful acupuncture practices and herbal dispensaries on the South Coast NSW, operating from both the I Am Mind Body Soul Wellness Hub in Gerringong, as well as a professional home-based clinic in Cambewarra serving Nowra, Berry, and the surrounding areas.

Each year, Fraser undergoes continuing professional training and development in acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, and professional standards to optimise his treatment strategies and clinical outcomes. Often working collaboratively with other practitioners both within and outside his practice, you can expect a treatment with Fraser to be welcoming, safe, and professional, with a strong focus on your individual needs.
